All fares are one-way and may be paid with coins or bills. Fareboxes do not give change and drivers cannot make change.

UCSB, SBCC, & Brooks Institute Students
Your student fees include the cost of an MTD pass. Show your registration card with a current sticker. Stickers are valid 7 calendar days before the first day of classes until the last day of final examinations. Not valid on Coastal Express Limited or Downtown-Waterfront Shuttle.
MTD can accept cash, a local imprinted check, or a money order (payable to "MTD") as payment for passes.
30-Day Passes are valid for 30 days from first use. They are not valid on Downtown-Waterfront Shuttles or on the Commuter Lot Shuttle. 30-Day passes are not transferable and transfers are not available with this pass.
10-Ride Passes do not expire.
Coastal Express Limited passes are valid only on the Coastal Express Limited and cannot be used on VISTA service.
Improper use of passes may result in revocation or confiscation.
All pass sales are final. No refunds. Passes have no cash value.
