Here, in the coastal wilds of Carpinteria, we catch a rare glimpse of The Wave outside its usual habitat.
Attempting to travel incognito, it has chosen the highly effective camouflage technique of... parking completely out in the open. 👀🌊
A bold strategy.
As mid-September approaches, this particular specimen appears to be scouting new territory ahead of its migration to Carpinteria, where a new Wave service area will soon emerge.
And if you look closely — very closely — far, far into the distance...
...you still won’t see its much larger cousin, Amtrak. 🚆
But we assure you, this is a train station.
The elusive train appears to have successfully mastered the art of camouflage.
The Wave has not.
For now, our conspicuous little specimen remains still. Watching. Learning. Preparing.
It thinks we can’t see it.
We can.
